Well my stars! I never expected to have this many people interested in little old me! It’s a pleasure to meet all you lovely people. I’m Scarlett and I’ve teamed up with the beautiful folks at Shark Reef Aquarium for this year’s Tour de Turtles race. They really know what they’re doing when it comes to protecting the ocean. Did you know jellyfish and other marine life can actually become contaminated by chemicals from oil spills and runoff? The nasty chemicals can accumulate in my food, on my pristine skin, and even on the beach, which can make my turtle friends and I very sick! Sure, I try to watch my figure but when I get a hankerin’ for some jellyfish, I don’t want to worry about if it’s contaminated! So, I’ll need your help this summer to cheer me on as I swim this marathon in search of healthy oceans and jellyfish to eat to sustain me on my journey. Ta ta for now!
I was named by my Sponsor, Shark Reef. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim to raise awareness about the threat of Oil Spills to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
