Rock on, dudes and dudettes! I’m Rush the hawksbill and I’m turtley ready to rock and roll to the front of the pack in this year’s Tour de Turtles! They don’t call me Rush for nothin’—when I’m not jamming out to my favorite band, I’m crawling down the beach super fast or swimming off at turbo speed to find the best coral reef. Many people think that hawksbill turtles like me have the most rad shells in the world. In fact, instead of crowds just admiring me, some humans want to use my shell to make products like jewelry, hair accessories, or even guitar picks. Even though this is illegal in most countries, it still happens, so keep an eye out and say no to products made out of real turtle shell. I sure hope you join me and my fans at the Four Seasons Nevis in spreading the word about the illegal shell trade and cheering me on in the Tour de Turtles race! Let’s rock!
