Seasons greetings, sea turtle lovers! And by “season” I mean nesting season of course! My name is Seartina. I’ve wanted to participate in the Tour de Turtles marathon for some time now and my sponsors at Certina reminded me that there’s no time like the present! So here I am, finally representing Certina and raising awareness about the threat of plastic debris. Certina is leading the charge in the fight against plastic debris. They’ve even released a special edition watch that features a band and packaging made from recycled plastic recovered from the sea! Items like plastic water bottles, bags, straws and balloons can easily make their way into the ocean, where they break down into small pieces. Accidentally eating this plastic has caused the deaths of over 100 million of my marine animal friends. I certainly can’t keep all these bad items from entering the ocean by myself so it’s a good thing I have Certina helping me out! Take reusable grocery bags to the store, skip the straw, never release balloons, and always pick up litter. Can I count on you??
