Saving Sea Turtles is a Marathon, Not a Sprint

Turtle Bio Page

Hiya! I’m Olive! My friends from Wildlife Collections chose me for the Tour de Turtles race to help raise awareness about invasive species predation. I’ve been busy training all summer after I finished nesting in Costa Rica. Since then, I’ve been stretching my flippers and perfecting my dive to take on the other competitors in the Tour de Turtles. Even though I’m super athletic, it’s not easy getting this big, beautiful body up on a beach and laying the perfect nest. And after all of that work, some animals like dogs, raccoons, and coyotes have the NERVE to dig up my nest! You can make sure all of my work doesn’t go to waste by keeping an eye on your pets and picking up trash on the beach so it doesn’t attract raccoons or other animals. We all have to work together to solve this problem, so I’d really appreciate your support in this year’s Tour de Turtles!

I was named by my Sponsor, fahlo. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim to raise awareness about the threat of Invasive Species Predation to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
