Saving Sea Turtles is a Marathon, Not a Sprint

Turtle Bio Page

Aloha! My name’s Koa, which means brave and fearless in Hawaiian. Even though I naturally prefer the slow-paced, island lifestyle most of the time, I agreed to participate in this year’s Tour de Turtles to help out my sponsors at honu. Life at the beach might seem like a tropical paradise now, but I’m here to raise awareness about the dangers of climate change, a major threat to my favorite beaches. Because of climate change, sea levels are rising, resulting in the disappearance of many nesting beaches. I could really use your help so I can get back to living that aloha life. The folks at honu selected me for the Tour de Turtles because of my fearlessness, so I will do my best to overcome all obstacles for them and bravely combat climate change in the process! Mahalo for all your support!

I was named by my Sponsor, HONU. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim to raise awareness about the threat of Climate Change to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
