Hi Friends! I’m St. Thomas and I was rescued by my friends at The Turtle Hospital back in October 2018. They found me covered in Fibropapilloma tumors three miles offshore of Big Coppitt Key, FL. The tumors were caused by chemicals from fertilizers and pesticides used by people on land that make their way into the ocean and near the shore where I look for food I ended up needing five tumor removal surgeries, but not to worry-- the amazing docs at The Turtle Hospital took great care of me! They gave me some broad spectrum antibiotics, anti-parasitic medications, vitamins, and a yummy diet of fish, squid and greens. Now I’m strong and tumor free! Rumor has it that I’m the only boy in this race. Even though I’m just a juvenile, I’m ready to kick some serious shell!
I was named by my Sponsor,
