Hola! Milly here, checking in for the race! I just returned from the most amazing trip and boy does it feel good to be back on my home nesting beach here in Panama. My friends at World Nomads called me on my shell-phone to see if I’d be interested in participating in the Tour de Turtles marathon. They knew how much I loved to swim and the travel the globe so naturally I was the perfect competitor! Hopefully my world experiences will help me win the race. I’ve already visited the coastal waters of six countries (Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Belize, and Mexico.)  I’m proud to say my travels have been quite sustainable as I’ve been taking my reusable bags, straw and cup with me on my journey. I definitely don’t want to contribute to the growing problem of plastic debris. I plan to educate as many people as I can during the Tour de Turtles. Where should I travel next? I’m thinking the Gulf of Mexico!

I was named by my Sponsor, World Nomads. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim to raise awarness about the threat of Plastic Debris to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
