Hi, humans! As you probably already noticed, I am Mrs. Potato Head, or MPH for short. I’ve spent the past 20 years traveling around to lovely places like the Bahamas and The Florida Keys. I recently nested on a beautiful beach right in front of Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and was just too tickled at the idea of joining the Tour de Turtles! Some say I have a flair for the dramatic, but really I just want to make sure everyone knows how important my cause is. Plastic debris is a ginormous threat to marine life, especially for sea turtles and marine mammals. Items like plastic water bottles, bags, and balloons can easily make their way into the ocean, where they break down into small pieces. Accidentally eating this plastic has caused the deaths of over 100 million of my marine animal friends. I certainly can’t keep all these bad items from entering the ocean by myself! I need your help! Take reusable grocery bags to the store, never release balloons, and always pick up litter. You can also follow me on my journey and help me spread the word! I know my friends at Disney will have my back, er, shell!
I was named by my Sponsor,
