Hey party people! My name is Colada and word on the island is that I’m the favorite beverage, er, turtle in this race! I’ve had some other hawksbill friends participate in the Tour de Turtles the past 10 years and it totally sounds like my kind of event. Island hopping, hanging out on the beach, swimming with friends…. Count me in! I’ll also be spreading the word about a serious threat to beautiful hawksbills like me—illegal shell trade. Unfortunately, instead of just admiring me, some humans want to take my gorgeous shell and make it into art of their own, like jewelry, hair accessories and other trinkets. What am I supposed to do without my shell, be a naked turtle?! I sure hope you agree and join me and my friends at the Sea Turtle Conservancy in spreading the word about the illegal shell trade. Remember, you can look but you can’t touch!

I was named by my Sponsor, Sea Turtle Conservancy. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim to raise awarness about the threat of Illegal Shell Trade to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
