Hey there everyone, Fleming here! I’m totally stoked to be a part of the Tour de Turtles this year! In my opinion I’m the raddest competitor in this thing! I’m not a nesting female like most of the turtles in the marathon. I was actually found by a boat captain who stopped to help me out off of Fleming Key in the Florida Keys. I was tangled in fishing line AND covered in some nasty tumors. Totally not tubular. My friends at the Turtle Hospital helped get me back on my flippers since I wasn’t doing so hot. Now, I’ve had a year to recover and I’m as good as new! I’m racing to spread the word about Poor Water Quality because clean water is crucial for sea turtles like me and my non-flippered friends. Let’s hear it for ya boy Fleming!

I was named by my Sponsor, The Turtle Hospital. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim to raise awarness about the threat of Water Quality to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
