Hey there, I’m Kreacher! (My parents were big Harry Potter fans back in the day.) I was rescued off Clearwater Beach by the turtle team at Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA). According to them, I was discovered floating and distressed with moderate edema—or swelling caused by fluid retention. Results of a CT scan revealed shells in my esophagus and gastro-intestinal track, causing me buoyancy issues and MAJOR discomfort. Boy was I was lucky CMA found me! Now that I’ve made a stellar recovery, I’m ready to race and tell everyone about boat strikes, a huge threat to sea turtles. I mean, HUGE. Even though I’m just a sub-adult, I can take down the more experienced pros and win this thing. Vote for me in the People’s Choice Race to help make Clearwater great again!

I was named by my Sponsor, Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim to raise awarness about the threat of Boat Strikes to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
